If you valued and enjoyed your nitrox training here is your next step. This course will extend your knowledge and develop skills to provide a greater understanding of the nitrox concept. This course is ideally combined with the deep air course to extend your current bottom times whether you're wreck diving off Scotland or wall diving in Cozumel. Learning advanced dive planning and mastering the use of double tanks, independent systems, and decompression bottles are just a few of the points covered during this course. This course is ideal for divers with Deep Air Training and wish to carefully extend bottom times beyond that of Basic Nitrox. It is also an introduction and part of the first step in preparation for a future in technical or rebreather diving. This is the highest level of non-professional and non-technical diver certifications. This course is a pre-requisite for the Technical Diver Course
Course Description
This course is outlined as a two day program with approx. 8 hours of classroom and dive planning. Before the end of this course a final exam will be given. Four dives to a maximum depth of 130 feet/40 meters will be conducted. The breathing gasses can be Nitrox or Air using one Nitrox decompression mix up to 50% carried in a stage bottle while practicing various decompression techniques. Introduction and use of computer generated decompression profiles for dive planning. During this course the student will be diving in double tanks and technical dive gear. At least one shallow water practice session will be conducted.
Maximum course size: Four students per instructor.
› 18 years of age with a Nitrox Diver certification
› Deep Air Certification from a recognized training agency or proof of experience to the same level
› Additional written requirements
After completion and certification of this course divers will be issued a certification card and wall certificate as well as being qualified to plan and safely execute dives to the limit of training while using different equipment configurations, air, and nitrox mixes up to 50% Oxygen.
